Why people choose to fake a smile?
I have a theory why people choose to fake a smile instead of showing their real emotions out in the open. 1. Some people don’t actually care how you feel. We meet different people, on the way home, on the way to work, at the coffee shop, every day, every where. Each and every people we meet have their own lives and problems to deal with. And not all of us, have the time to worry about how others actually feel. 2. We realize that life is indeed unfair. That whatever bad things happen to us, it is all part of the cosmos and we can’t do anything but to suck it up, forget about it and go on with our lives. Being sad about it won’t solve it anyway. 3. Because you are the happy person everyone knows about. Everyone knows that you are strong and that you can carry whatever obstacles you face. You are also this person who despite everything, can still manage to smile. This is what people know and think about you. But they never knew that deep inside, you are crushed and hurt. 4. Last but not the least, cause it is easier to fake a smile than to explain to the whole world why you are sad. When you are smiling, everyone thinks you are okay and there’s nothing wrong. You are your normal self. But when you show them that you are sad, there is much explaining to do - the what, when, where, why and how did it happen questions, which entails revival of those painful memories and being hurt once more. Besides, being all sad just give negative vibes to everyone so you just fake a smile in front of everybody. CASE CLOSED.
Sometimes, we fake a smile not because we really wanted to, but because it is the best thing to do as we are forced by the circumstances around us. That is why, I always keep in mind, that. SOMETIMES THE HAPPIEST PEOPLE ARE THE SADDEST PEOPLE… So, we ought to be kind to one another cause everyone is fighting our own battles…
